| Outline of Hometown information | 通称「蒜山石」と呼ばれる角閃石安山岩製の五輪石塔が、2基並立している。左塔が総高159cm、右塔が166cmである。地輪は比較的横に平たく、水輪は鼓胴形、火輪の軒口は厚いが軒反りは真反りを示し、風輪、空輪も完存している。全体に鈍重な迫力に満ちており、これらの特徴は山陽地方の五輪石塔とは異質で、伯耆、出雲地方の様式に近い。同時に、塔の各部に刻まれた五大の種子[しゅじ]の書体も手堅く、鎌倉時代後期の特色をうかがうことができる。 |
