| Outline of Hometown information | 死後、極楽浄土に生まれることを願う信者の臨終に際し、阿弥陀如来がお迎えに来るところを描いた聖衆来迎図（しょうじゅらいごうず）。阿弥陀如来と二十五菩薩が画面いっぱいに広く飛来する情景は、豊かな情感があふれているが、ポーズや賦彩法、切金技法などは類型的で、鎌倉時代中期の作と推定されている。阿弥陀来迎信仰は平安時代に特に盛大で、多くの仏画が描かれた。 |
