| Outline of Hometown information | 曼荼羅は、中心、輪、円または集団を意味するサンスクリット語で、これが転じて、輪円状に特定の仏、菩薩、明王、天の徳を図式化した絵をいう。両界曼荼羅は胎蔵界・金剛界の２幅から構成される。胎蔵界は感性的世界、金剛界は理知的世界をあらわす。この曼荼羅図は、画面の縦長化、明確な色感、諸尊の顔つきの均一的な表現からして、室町時代初期の作と考えられる。 |
