| Outline of Hometown information | 刃長71.2cm、反り2.7cm。鎌倉時代中期に、備前の福岡一文字派が制作した。日光一文字と並ぶ作で、備前一文字派盛期の作風と力を存分に発揮した太刀である。刃文が最も大規模に乱れて刃中の変化に富んだ作である。号は、一説にその刃文が山鳥の羽毛に似ているからというが、他にも説があって明らかでない。上杉謙信および景勝の愛刀として上杉家に伝来したもの。 |
