| Outline of Hometown information | 金剛界曼荼羅図は縦150.2cm、横136.8cm。胎蔵界曼荼羅図は縦148.2cm、横136.7cm。両界曼荼羅図とは密教教理の根本を図式化したもの。本図は青色が多用され、鮮やかな赤・金との色彩の対比が美しい。また、各尊の表現も精緻かつのびやかで、鎌倉時代の特徴をよく示している。笠岡市の持宝院の両界曼荼羅図とともに、県下の双璧と言える貴重な仏画である。 |
